The SAM Club assists Workspace Group in achieving compliance with Microsoft’s SAM Program

We are delighted to announce that Workspace Group, supported by The SAM Club, has been certified by Microsoft as being compliant with its SAM Program.

Workspace Group PLC is a leading FTSE 250 Real Estate Investment Trust. Workspace own and operate more than 3.5 million sq. ft. of business space across 68 London properties, which are home to some 4,000 businesses including some of the fastest growing and established brands across a wide range of sectors.

Workspace offers flexible office, co-working and meeting room solutions and provides best-in-class, award-winning connected services for its diverse mix of customers, including some of London’s most successful digital businesses such as Mozilla, Citymapper, Photobox, Entrepreneur First and Nutmeg.

Workspace signed a Service Agreement with The SAM Club for its Software Asset Management & Procurement Service in January 2016. After the initial software licensing discovery project, a review was completed of its Microsoft agreements and Workspace entered into discussions for its first Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft.

In 2017, discussions moved onto the SAM Club’s compliance service with Workspace signing up to the Microsoft SAM Program. The Microsoft review has been completed with compliance sign off in July 2017.

Tomjedur Rahman, Head of IT Operations at Workspace, comments, “At Workspace, we look for trusted Partners that we can form a close working relationship with. The SAM Club provides that additional guidance and support we need to ensure we are making the right decisions with software licensing. Their support and advice has been invaluable and we now have the reassurance that we are certified as being compliant with Microsoft.”

Ian Nicholls, Director at The SAM Club, comments, “It’s a pleasure to work with Tom and his team at Workspace who became one of our first clients to enter the Microsoft SAM Program and gain compliance sign off. Software licensing is our expertise and we are willing to work on a project basis to perform an internal Microsoft review for Heads of IT that are looking for reassurance and a sanity check on their Microsoft license position.”
