Microsoft has announced a major update to its Enterprise Agreement (EA) pricing model, and organisations currently benefiting from Level B, C, or D discounts on Online Services need to take notice.

Starting 1st November 2025, pricing for Online Services under both EA and MPSA agreements will be standardised. According to Microsoft:

“Microsoft will expand the set of products that have a single consistent price across Price Levels A–D to include all online services.”

This means the existing tiered discount system (Levels A–D) will be phased out, and future pricing will reflect the standard rates published on Microsoft’s website. Azure services are not affected, and pricing for on-premises software will remain unchanged.

Who Will Be Impacted—and When? If your organisation currently holds EA licences with Level B, C, or D pricing for Online Services, you should anticipate an increase in costs.  The new pricing will take effect at your next renewal or when purchasing Online Services not listed on your current Customer Price Sheet, after 1st November 2025.

Here’s a breakdown of the EA pricing bands:

Any organisation with more than 2,400 users or devices under EA will be directly impacted by this change.

How to Prepare This change could result in substantial cost increases, making it essential to plan ahead. Whether your renewal is just months away or several years down the line, now is the time to evaluate your options.
