Summary: Microsoft is integrating several Intune Suite capabilities into Microsoft 365 E3 and E5, redefining what “baseline” endpoint management looks like. These changes will roll out in Q3 2026, with pricing updates effective 1 July 2026.

What’s Changing?

Microsoft announced that advanced Intune features—previously part of the Intune Suite add-on—will become standard to Microsoft 365 E3 and E5. Attached is a PDF on the current Intune plans and what features sit where.

Key points:

  • Rollout begins: Calendar Year 2026, Quarter 3
  • Advance notice: Tenants will receive a 30-day Message Center notification before features are enabled.
  • Pricing update: Effective 1 July 2026 for Microsoft 365 suites as advised on 5th December 2025 and can be viewed here.

For Microsoft 365 E3

  • Intune Remote Help – Secure, audited remote assistance for Windows and other supported platforms.
  • Intune Advanced Analytics – AI-driven insights to detect anomalies and improve digital experience.
  • Intune Plan 2 which includes:  
    • Microsoft Tunnel for Mobile Application Management – Secure access for mobile apps without full device enrollment.
    • Specialty Device Management & Firmware Updates – Broader support for non-standard devices.

For Microsoft 365 E5

  • Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) – Just-in-time elevation for approved apps, reducing local admin risk.
  • Enterprise Application Management (EAM) – Curated app catalog and lifecycle governance.
  • Microsoft Cloud PKI – Cloud-based certificate issuance and management integrated with Microsoft 365.

Q: Do I need to buy Intune Suite separately?
