Good news at last for Microsoft customers with an existing Enterprise Agreement (EA) looking to transition to the CSP license program.

Following Microsoft’s decision to unbundle Teams from the Office 365 E1/E3/E5 and M365 E3/E5 SKUs in 2024, many have faced challenges with relicensing.

Although no official date has been confirmed, Microsoft plans to introduce Channel Transfers. This feature will enable CSP partners to access their customers’ EA services and transfer the old SKUs (which include Teams) to the CSP program. This change avoids the need to switch to the newer SKUs that exclude Teams. Further details are available here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/grzFHxze

This development also fuels speculation that Microsoft may eventually phase out the Enterprise Agreement for level A customers (500 to 2400 users).
