Have you noticed the M365 E3/E5 license purchased through an Enterprise Agreement is broken down in the Office 365 Admin portal to show:
- Office 365 E3/E5
- EM&S E3/E5
But where is the Windows Enterprise (E3/E5) license that you purchased?
Unlike CSP(NCE) clients those on an Enterprise Agreement are entitled to re-imaging rights and the long term service branch which can be downloaded from the VLSC.
But if you have decided to move towards automatic updates for Windows Enterprise and switch on Auto-Pilot, for example, then you would need to enable Windows subscription licenses on your existing tenant. Your Microsoft reseller will need to place an order for one £0 cost SKU per user for one of the following:
- AAA-51069 : Win OLS Activation User Alng Sub Add-on E3
- AAA-51068 : Win OLS Activation User Sub Add-on E5
- VRM-00001 : Win OLS Activation User GCC Sub Per User
