Microsoft is still changing and enhancing its Power Platform capabilities. Our article from 10 months ago looked at the Power Platform and all the apps available.
At Microsoft Inspire 2023, the new Power Automate Premium License was introduced which replaces the Power Automate Per User (US$15 per month) and includes the benefits from the Power Automate Per User with Attended RPA (US$40 per month). Plus it gives entitlements to the new Power Automate Process Mining “visualise and analyse processes” capabilities at US$15 per user per month! Wow!…. more for your money. So where’s the catch? We’ll come to that shortly with data storage.
There is also the new Power Automate Process license which is a single ‘automation’ bot that can be used for running unattended Desktop Flows (replacing the Unattended RPA license) or for Cloud Flows (replacing the Flow license) that can be accessed by an unlimited number of users in the organisation for US$150.
With Power Automate Process Mining you get a 50 MB data storage allowance. To increase this you must purchase a Power Automate Process Add-on license for additional capacity at a price of US$5,000 per tenant per month for an additional 100 GB of Process Mining data storage.
Power BI licenses are not included in Power Automate Process Mining. In order to customize and analyse your process mining results further, you’ll need a Power BI Pro, Power BI Premium per user, or per capacity license.
There’s a free 30-day trial for Power Automate which gives access to many of the key features of Process Mining. See Power Apps 30-day free trial – Power Apps | Microsoft Learn
