When purchasing a VM in Azure there are two cost elements, the VM itself with the compute and the licensing aspect. With Hybrid Benefits we are looking at the licensing aspect only which will help save money in Azure for about 95% of all VM instances.
Do you complete an internal audit to ensure you are compliant and own the right number of Windows Server or SQL Server licenses where Hybrid Benefit is switched on? Do you take into account the dual rights for Windows Server Datacenter with on premise and Azure usage? Do all the Windows Server and SQL Server licenses that are being considered with Azure Hybrid Benefits include Software Assurance or a current subscription?
The SAM Club records & maintains such data in its clients SAM Workbooks for pro-active review.
At The SAM Club we can provide the advice and guidance to ensure you are compliant and maximise your potential savings within Azure. Contact us at [email protected] if you would like to know more.
