Yes, you read that correctly! In January 2023, Microsoft announced a global alignment of its Cloud product pricing to reflect the exchange rates of local currencies against the US dollar. Initially, it was expected that these semi-annual reviews would occur in April and October.
However, the latest adjustment will take effect on February 1, 2025, with a reduction in GBP pricing for Cloud products ranging between 5% and 6%. This decrease does not apply to on-premise pricing. Brazilian Real (BRL) will see a price increase of 12% for both Cloud and on-premise products. You can view the full announcement here.
