Microsoft announced Teams Premium at the Ignite 2022 conference as an add-on SKU to Teams with an expected price of $10 per user per month. The Public Preview is in December with general availability set for February 2023.
What to expect:
· Meeting Guides : customised and managed by IT, the user can select from pre-set options such as, client call, brainstorming meeting or help desk call to reduce time and adhere to company best practices and policies
· Customised Branding : for the meeting lobby and create custom backgrounds and together modes, all managed by IT
· Intelligent Recap : AI is used to suggest action items and owners, create smarter recordings with automatically generated chapters and insights such as when your name was mentioned, screen was shared or when you left a meeting early to help discover those important moments quickly to catch up
· Live translation for captions – AI powered real time translations from 40 spoken languages so meeting participants can read captions in their own language breaking down barriers for global meetings
· Advanced Meeting Protections : to help safeguard confidential meetings with new options like watermarking to deter leaks and limiting who can record with further security options for M365 E5 customers with the ability to Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels
· Advanced Virtual Appointments : to manage the end-to-end appointment experience , with text reminders to customers allowing them to join a branded virtual appointment through their mobile device without downloading Teams. Streamline appointment management like appointment queuing and measure rich analytics such as usage trends and history of virtual appointment experiences and effectiveness like no-shows and wait times
· Advanced Webinars : With new host controls and event management controls with registration waitlists and manual approval, customise the registration start and end times, automated reminder emails and a virtual green room
